O Lord, indeed, establish thou the work of our hands and bless these knitting needles
so that they may become instruments of prayer and meditation.
As we fill them may our hearts be filled with the ones we hold dear,
who need your special providence and embrace.
Give us perseverance as we remember those who courageously face what they did not choose. 
Give us patience and gratitude as we pray for our friends who inspire us in the face of suffering and the fear of losing life. 
O Lord, establish thou the work of our hands as we pray in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 
Who know all the suffering we can know because He took it upon Himself for our sakes. – Amen
